But what is coming next? A SmartWatch?
I know some of the big companies like Apple is already working on an SmartWatch. The romours says IWatch. But the SmartWatch is actually already out on the market. In January 2013 the company Pebble Technology released the Pebble Smartwatch. In this article i'm going to be talking about the Pebble Smartwatch.
What is it?
The Pebble watch can connect via bluetooth to your ios or android device using an app. The watch has a 1.26-inch 144 x 168 pixel black and white ultra low power "memory LCD" display made by Sharp. It has Backlight, a vibrating motor, a magnetometer, ambient light sensors and a three-axis accelerometer.If you need to stay on top of things, Pebble can help vibrating notifications, messages and alerts. you can dismiss a notification by shaking your hand.
Pebble will show you:
- Incoming Caller ID
- Email (Gmail or any IMAP email account)
- SMS on both Android and iPhones
- iMessage (iOS only)
- Calendar Alerts
- Facebook Messages
- Weather Alerts
- Silent vibrating alarm and timer
It only says that you can connect it to your smartphone but i've seen a guy that used it to lock his macbook when he got our of bluetooth range and unlock it again when he got in the bluetooth range.
